HONEY

ermioni honey

Beekeeping has a long tradition in Greece. There are more beehives in Greece than in any other country in Europe. Even the ancient Greeks used honey as a sweetener.

Honey

65% of all honey in Greece, consists of pine honey. It is one of the richest in minerals and has the highest proportion of antioxidants.

Pine Honey is rich in potassium, magnesium, iron, sodium and phosphorus. The taste is unique. A mild sweetness, full of aromas and slightly spicy.

Koumaro

Koumaro – Sousoura honey

Koumaro, a wild strawberry bush that has a very low sugar content and is therefore very popular with diabetics. Due to its scarcely available sugar, it is a very bitter honey.

Sousoura is the well-known “Haide honey”. Since a special process is also required during production, this honey is also less common.

Together, the two are a dream for every palate and honey lover. An aromatic sweetness , with a light, bitter aftertaste.
